Call of Dragons

This is the one I was actually looking forward to. Big strategy game, dragons, the kind of thing I would install anyway without an offer attached to it. I started it expecting the easiest few dollars of the month.
Freecash told me within minutes that it was not working. The message said failed connection to game, this game is not tracking, please try a new one. No ambiguity, no waiting to see.
I want to give the platform credit here, because this is the part most people never see. A weaker app says nothing. You play for four days, you hit the milestone, you wait, and then you start writing support tickets about an offer that was never being recorded in the first place. Freecash told me before I had spent any real time on it. Out of everything I have run through them, this is the only game that ever gave me that message. Everything else tracked.
I did not contact support. I was new, the catalogue was full of other options, and chasing one offer felt like a bad use of the evening. In hindsight that was the right call, because support could not have fixed it anyway.
The cause took me a while to work out. I had installed Call of Dragons years earlier, played it for maybe an hour, and deleted it. I had completely forgotten. Offers are for new users, and the store remembers your account history, so the game was never eligible. The tracking failure was correct behaviour. The platform was telling me the truth and I read it as a bug.
So this one is on me, and it is the most useful mistake in the whole log. Before you start any offer, open the App Store, go to your purchase history, and search the game. It takes ten seconds. If it is in there, the offer is dead and no amount of playing will change that. A game you tried once, years ago, for an hour, is disqualified permanently. There is no reset and no way to appeal it. Check first.
